Hygiene Toilet Sponsor to Orphan Center In Bavet City

Bavet City Orphan Center has 25 children homeless and without parents. they are living under small supporting by Chumrok Teang Boun and some support from outsiders. 

The Bavet City Orphanage located at Angsala Village, Angsala Commune, Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province, Kingdom of Cambodia. Referring to the procedure laid down by Managements of Las Vegas Sun Hotel-Casino, that established “ Las Vegas Sun Fund” in order to take part for social helping & poverty. Since then, the budget of LVS Fund was collected from all Employees and Generous people with volunteer as below detail;

1-  LVS Fund Collected for Feb 2012 = 381USD
2- LVS Fund Collected for Mar 2012= 82USD
3-  LVS Fund Collected for Apr 2012 = 89USD, 
TOTAL = 552 USD.

On May 18, 2011, the big price that won from Cambodia Red Cross by Las Vegas Sun Hotel-Casino was donated to Svay Rieng Orphan Center under Mr.AN JAE WON, Head of HR Department/General Affairs and Mr.SOK SAKADA, HR Manager of Las Vegas Sun Hotel-Casino.

International Old People's Day

October 01, 2010 at CHHNE TUNLE in Svayrieng downtown, there was the celebration of International Old People's day under presidency of H.E CHEANG AM, Svayrieng Provincial Governor. There were 310 old people from various locations within Svayrieng joined the great ceremony.

USED EQUIPMENTS AND STUDY MATERIALS FOR ORPHANAGE OF SVAYRIENG

As additional help for Svayrieng Orphanage beside monthly cash supports to 3 housemaids and 1 security guard, Las Vegas Sun's community base is still going on its operations at various areas and charity types as stated in its objectives. 37 sets of plastic chair, 14 sets of wooden-metal table, 140 pieces of student bag, 31 pieces of English study book, 20 pieces of writting book, 33 pieces of pen and 1 set of standing fan were given to the center on July 20, 2010 in order to fulfill the center's demand for parentless children in day to day live.

CONTIGUOUS HELPS TO LESS LUCK PERSON

TA Chhoun Sam better known as Grand Pa Chhoun Sam, the old man with age of 77 lives in a bamboo and grass roof house locates in Prek Khsay village of Prek Khsa Kor commune, Peam Ror district of Prey Veng Province. Mr. Chhoun Sam was abandoned by his wife and his beloved adopted son were dead by malarial sickness while performing duty as a militant, left him lonely without dependance. 
 
Since than his life becomes more miserable living with small package of daily foods from his neighbours.

On July 26, 2010 Las Vegas Sun community base's group delivered the small package of donations which collectively given by the Las Vegas Sun employees for Mr. Chhoun Sam at early morning. Those stuff are not so expensive and huge quanity but it at least can provides him some helps in daily life.100kg of rice, 5 cases of instant noodle, 10 dozens of sadin, 6 bundles of fish sauce and soy sauce, 10 packs of seasoning, 10kg of dried fish and sugar, 5 packs of salt, 20 tins of sweet milk, 8 pieces of scarf, mosquito net, blanket and pillow.Furthermore, the member of our program also supported him in cash 400,000 Khmer Riels in the same occasion.

PITIFUL LONELY GRANDMA MAO SAMORN

When you hear sure you will have compassion for her life unlike other. But if you see directly at her unpossession home, you will definitely even more pity. Staying with good hearted poor neighbour can give her life to the at-least breathing life. Mrs. MAO SAMORN, 76 years old woman,is staying with neighbour at Tot Tear village, Sangkat Chek, Svayrieng City, Svayrieng Province, lives on unearnable and serious illness conditions which half of her body is now unmovable.

She told Kohsantepheap news that she had husband with 2 children who were killed during Khmer Rouge regime at Damnak Ron of Battambang province and after 7th January 1979 liberation's day, she returned to Battambang and met only her husband's family while her own family were all disappeared. Later on she met her newphew in Phnom Penh and started small business of selling sweets (noum-some kind of sweet foods), used clothes, dried fish and smoke fish. At early 2009, she was faint and fell down and began her serious illness and her business has ended sine then. She lived with her nephew for sometime.

MEGA PROJECT AT ORPHANAGE OF SVAYRIENG

17th August 2009 is the great event of handling humanitarian aids at the Svayrieng Orphanage. The ceremony held at the center comprises of Las Vegas Sun delegations include management members and community base members, was presided by the Provincial office chief of Social Affair, Veteran and Youth Rehabilitation.

The Orphanage is the charity social center under the supervision and funded by Ministry of Social Affair, Veteran and Youth Rehabilitation of Royal Government of Cambodia. The center is currently accommodating totally 98 orphans and 15 officials, located in Rongbanle village, Sangkat Svayrieng, Svayrieng city of Svayrieng province, under direct supervision by Provincial office Social Affair, Veteran and Youth Rehabilitation.
